Time To Fight!

October 12th, 2011

My lastest project just shipped, Mafia Wars 2.  I was hired by Somatome to compose 10 in-game tracks.  You can, and will, hear them along side a handful of licensed originals by Motörhead, NIN, and the like.  I will update this post with a link to some of the fun tracks I wrote soon.  Until then, play the game, and no, I won’t join your mafia family.

Also, you can hear my guitar work in the current #1 iTunes app “Where’s My Water”.  My friend and colleague David Ortega put together a real sweet soundtrack for that title.

I’m in a hurry so I won’t bother proofreading this.  Later!   ppprtfdfguasdf

Socially Awkward

September 9th, 2011

This week wrapped my end of production on a “social network” game.  I think I was the only composer, but it never crossed my mind to ask.  The developer is awesome and has a huge presence on the social platform.  I shouldn’t say much more, but I’ll be happy to blab and blab and blab once I can.

Droppin’ A Deuce

August 31st, 2011

That title was too good to pass up.  Anyway, I’m excited to be able to share a project I had a big hand in, Just Dance Kids 2.  The game will be coming out on all the major platforms (XBOX Kinect, PS3 Move and Wii) October 25th.  I was contracted by the fine folks at Somatone to work on the game (there should be a link to the right).  I played guitar on a few tracks for the first one, but on JDK 2 I did everything from guitar to full song reproductions.  I’m all over this puppy so enjoy!

Oh yeah, my 5 year old son Miles is singing background on a track…sweet!

Wii Can Do It!

July 4th, 2011

This week should be my production wrap for a pretty big Wii title I’ve been working on in collaboration with the well oiled machine that is Somatone Interactive Audio.  I’m very excited to share the fruits of my labor with you all when I can.  Stay tuned!

3 Apples High

May 17th, 2011

No, this is not a drug reference.  I’m free to discuss a little project I worked on now.  I played guitar on a few tracks for the new SMURFS Wii game coming out this summer along side the feature film.  It was really fun to do.  One track I’m exceptionally proud of is “SMURF This Way.”  That Joe Perry can shred it up for sure!I had quite a work out reproducing those solos, but it was worth it.  The final product sounds great.

I think it helped that I got into character for the song repro.  I took my shirt off, put tight leather pants on and chain smoked like crazy…then I dropped my son off at school, still in character, and started working on the song.  :)  BTW, they don’t let me on the school grounds anymore.

I’ll post the song for your listening pleasure after the game is released…maybe.

May 9th, 2011

So, I did the music for a Super Hero Squad trailer.  The game looks super fun!  I also wrote a good chunk of the in game music.  Check it out.

Do The Truffle Shuffle!

October 24th, 2010

I was fortunate enough to be a credited musician on the upcoming Ubisoft title Just Dace: Kids.  David from Boston Sound Labs hired me to play guitar on a few tracks.  Shake It, featured in the official trailer, is one of those tracks.  Check it out!

I Like Working

August 1st, 2010

It’s been a while since I reported my goings on.  Since I last updated the blog I’ve had my hand in music for 3 McDonalds TV spots, composed several American Family Insurance spots, did some music for Microsoft, will be credited as a musician for a TBA Ubisoft title and I’m the Lead Composer for a TBA multi-platform title (XBOX, PS3, Wii, n’ stuff).  I’ve been having fun this year!

I can’t wait to share some of this stuff after it’s released and I have time to post it.  Until then, just think of the song Africa by Toto…yeah…that’ll tide you over nicely.  :)

Jinlge Jingle

February 22nd, 2010

I just wrote a jingle for a McDonalds commercial.  It was super fun to write a jingle again.  It’s not airing yet, but I’ll provide a link when it does.
